ANSI300 Cast Steel Gate Valves – Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne

2inch (50mm) Rising stem Cast Steel (WCB) ANSI 300 Flanged Gate Valves heading to a food processing facility in Melbourne.

The main component of both cast Iron and cast Steel is the Iron element itself. What differs is the amount of Carbon present in both forms. The main difference between cast iron and cast steel is that Cast Iron generally has a Carbon content higher than 2%, and Cast Steel has a Carbon content lower than 2%

Cast Iron is very easy to cast due to its very good flowability and low shrinkage. Cast Steel has less flowability and more shrinkage as compared to Cast Iron. Cast iron is better in terms of corrosion resistance and resistance to mechanical wear. Cast steel is better in terms of impact loads.
